Welcome to Oasis
Sea & Sky
The world of Oasis is a vast ocean, studded with dense archipelagos that break the surf--or the clouds.
Flying islands and even vast, drifting continents, fill the skies above the waves; host to myriad creatures, fledgling empires, and lost mysteries. Ships of all kinds ply the trade lanes, from lumbering sea-bound cargo haulers to nimble, flying corvettes, and the crashing waves are drowned out by the roar of cannons as often as they are the tropical thunder.
Honest merchants, cunning pirates, and daring explorers orbit Oasis' few safe havens, daring the unknown and untamed reaches in search of glory, riches, or answers. Much of the world is wild and unknown, but scattered findings seldom shared hint that the vast ocean once held something much more.

Delusions of Empire
The high seas and windswept skies might harbor many who seek adventure and freedom, but Oasis is not immune to the machinations of the powerful. A complex web of factions and empires, some ruled over by self-proclaimed demigods and their anointed servants, constantly jockey for power. Their influence on the wider world ebbs and flows with the drifting lands they inhabit, but woe be upon those unlucky privateers who get caught up in the conflagrations when the many political powderkegs throughout the islands hit their latest flashpoint.
As Above, So Below
The ocean's depths team with more life than the sky and surface, though few concerned with matters above spare a thought for their goings-on. Mere and other seafolk build teaming cities on the ocean floor, but they are not the deepest denizens.
The very bedrock of Oasis is home to a labyrinthian network of tunnels and chambers; shattered causeways and crumbled temples locked away from the sun beneath sea and stone. Something more once dwelt here, grasping at borders beyond what any petty empire above has even thought to claim, and their disappearance holds answers to the origins of this strange world, and what fates might befall those who dwell upon it.
