Page Under Construction
This page is a placeholder for future expansion, and the content is all very "first-draft."
You may prefer to build your own world (or expand on one of ours) using the Worldbuilding Tools in the menu above, or check out one of our official settings.

Relict for All
This page will be dedicated to showcasing our favorite Relict system projects - worlds, settings, adventures, items, content, and more.
Relict will operate under an Open License, free for use for both free and commercial projects. The License will be drawn up once the system is closer to completion, but generally speaking you can expect to be able to use all or part of the system, and any of the content included within that such as monsters, items, classes, species, and more (as will be defined in the license terms). You won't be able to use other people's work that hasn't been made specifically open to such use.
Fan work is a deeper issue we'll get into at a later date - the use of the Relict system is fair game, but you'll need to make sure you're following any IP holder's fan creation policies before wading in to those waters, and we may not be able to feature such projects here depending on the details.
Commercial projects will require their own external hosting and payment processing apparatus (like itch.io). Houndsong/Relict will not be collecting a royalty for Relict projects, but we also don't have the means to become a payment processor and marketplace at this time. This is just a "recommendations" page, commercial entities are responsible for their own business.
Free projects will have the option to let us host simple files (such as a PDF) here for download, or direct users to a trusted external site (again like itch).
For all projects, we'll require the ability to review the content before posting it.

For now, this page is a placeholder. Once Relict 1.0 is live, we'll open up a contact form to submit projects for the Spotlight page, along with a rubric outlining what standards are required to snag a spot (you can assume this will be more-or-less in line with what is acceptable on other TTRPG marketplaces both in terms of content, subject matter, and/or quality).
How many projects will be accepted and hosted here at once, or for how long, will be determined later - as of this writing I have no idea if this will be a "maybe once a year" thing or a "hundred submissions a week" thing. You can help us plan for what resources we'll need to have in place by getting in touch if you think you want to create a Relict project.
